Mountain West Montessori, founded by Margarita L. Cabrera in 1987, is a cherished educational institution located in the picturesque area of west El Paso, TX. Our school is uniquely situated on three acres of stunning land featuring lush gardens with fruit and pecan trees. We take great pride in integrating the upkeep of these gardens into our educational programs, thereby allowing students to engage with and learn from their natural surroundings.

Our Montessori program is comprehensive, catering to a wide age range from 18 months to 14 years old. We are committed to providing a nurturing environment that supports the holistic development of each child. The curriculum emphasizes self-directed activity, hands-on learning, and collaborative play—fundamental principles of the Montessori method.

Additionally, we are excited about our Spanish Immersion program, which is available for all age groups. This program immerses students in the Spanish language, enhancing their linguistic skills and cultural awareness in a dynamic and engaging manner.
